About Trophy Point Coins

Experienced. Trusted. Stewardship-Driven.

We provide personal guidance grounded in experience and free from sales pressure, based on decades of hands-on work buying, selling, grading, and studying elite U.S. coins.

Our clients receive clear explanations, honest assessments, and strategies aligned to their goals — not ours.

When we recommend buying, holding, or selling, we explain why, including how we make money and where incentives exist. Transparency is fundamental to long-term trust.

WHO WE ARE

Trophy Point Coins is a boutique numismatic advisory firm serving collectors, families, and investors who care about understanding what they own and making informed decisions over time.

Founded by West Point graduates, the firm combines technical rigor, long-term thinking, and personal accountability. We work selectively, maintain transparency, and treat every client relationship as a stewardship responsibility — not a transaction.

HOW WE WORK

We approach numismatics as a decision discipline, not a volume business.

Our role is to help clients slow down, understand context, and act deliberately. We separate education from selling, explain trade-offs clearly, and document reasoning so decisions can be revisited later — by the client or by heirs.

When a sale makes sense, we execute carefully. When it doesn’t, we say so.

Our West Point Connection

As West Point graduates — and later professors at the Academy — our connection to the United States Military Academy is both professional and personal.

During our years as cadets, and later while teaching there, we marched past what is now the U.S. Mint at West Point countless times without realizing that one of the nation’s most important silver repositories sat quietly beneath the cadet ski slope. Only later did we fully appreciate the significance of that place — not just as a mint, but as part of the Academy’s living landscape.

Trophy Point itself was a favorite place to bring friends and family. It is steeped in history, overlooks the Hudson River, and frames views of Storm King Mountain — a setting that reflects endurance, perspective, and continuity. Those same qualities inform how we think about coins, collections, and stewardship today.

Our connection to the West Point Mint is therefore not abstract. It is grounded in years spent on that ground, shaped by the Academy’s emphasis on responsibility and long-term thinking, and reinforced by a deep respect for the role West Point plays in America’s modern numismatic legacy.

We actively curate and place top-grade West Point Mint issues, focusing on pieces with enduring demand, exceptional quality, and strong long-term liquidity. We do not chase volume. We pursue coins that anchor serious collections.

Education Is Part of the Service

The U.S. coin market rewards knowledge, patience, and timing. It also punishes haste and misunderstanding.

We help clients understand what matters, what does not, and where common mistakes occur — whether they are entering the market, managing a legacy collection, or evaluating when to step away from a position.

This is not speculation. It is disciplined participation in a specialized market.

Our Philosophy: Collecting With Intent

Great collections are built — and preserved — through intent, documentation, and patience.

Not every coin should be sold.
Not every high price is a good outcome.

Not every appraisal should push a transaction.

Our role is to help clients see the full picture before decisions are made.

We work by referrals and long-term relationships. If we’re not the right fit, we’ll say so.

If you’re seeking clarity, strategy, or guidance — whether for a single coin, a registry set or an entire collection — we invite you to start a conversation.
